In 1956, a little grocery known as CVC opened along Rizal Avenue Extension in Caloocan City . Clarita V. Cabochan and her husband started this grocery. The grocery store was just a little bigger than today's sari-sari store. Through the years, the grocery store grew in size. Clarita eventually realized that her future was tied up with the store. As the population of Caloocan increased, the store went through a series of renovations and constructions. |

The first major construction work took place in 1974, eighteen long years after the grocery store first opened for business. A three-story concrete building rose at the back portion of the lot occupied by the supermarket. This effectively doubled the selling area of CVC and increased its attractiveness to shoppers all the way from Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela. |

In 1979, another concrete building was built to replace the old wooden structure along Rizal Avenue Extension. The supermarket was now completely transferred to face the challenges of the eighties. Today, CVC Supermarket has grown in number. It also operates a bakeshop, a food processing department, and a packing division. CVC store brands are CVC Panaderia for bakery products, Marvel for dry grocery, and Farm Fresh for processed food and vegetables. |
